This year, we have a rare second Full Moon in Libra: the first, a month ago, was with the Sun and Moon at the very early degrees of Aries and Libra, and now the Sun and Moon are at the very late degrees. This represents the potential of a deep learning over the course of this past month, evolving the Aries energy into a more mature form.
Evolved Aries, more than anything else, is courageous. (Thank you universe for this second helping of courage when I need it so!). It takes courage to heal. It’s terrifying to look truth in the eye. To acknowledge the pain and suffering in ourselves, in others, in the world. It takes courage to love in the face of that. To love even those who cause suffering, knowing they lash out in pain. To love even those who won’t love you in return. That is courage. That is the heart of a warrior goddess leading the way.
The Full Moon is square to the looming Saturn, South Node, Pluto conjunction in Capricorn. This gives us a moment then to prepare for the July eclipses which will activate the Capricorn conjunction, and for next winter when Jupiter comes to join Saturn, Pluto, and the South Node: the probable climax of the major plot developments currently underway that have us each coming into our own as masters of our own lives, answering only to the authority within.
The Sun is also very close to Uranus in Taurus. Uranus can help us to make big changes, to cut out what is no longer needed, to be radically, unapologetically true to the self and the invisible callings of the Soul.
So now, what ending is (over)due? What loose ends need to be tied up, what chapter needs to conclude, in order to prepare for the coming months? There is a bigger story waiting to unfold. It will be easier if we are ready for it, if we wrap up all the subplots which may be interesting but will only distract once summer is here. So, harness the Aries courage, and say what needs to be said, let go of what needs release.
Libra, as diplomatic, refined, and gentle, is master at keeping the peace, but what about expressing dissatisfaction, standing up for itself, expressing its needs, speaking to difficult truths? For that, we need Aries.
There are times when we have to do or say something that others won’t like. Libra tends to avoid such moments. But then it suffers in the end because it hasn’t been true to itself. It lost itself in others. It forgot who it was. Aries remembers. Yet sometimes Aries feels such an intensity of knowing what it needs that it can forget to move gently, considering the feelings of others.
Together, Aries and Libra can help us to communicate difficult truths or make difficult decisions in a gentle and loving way. We can be effective and kind; bold and gentle; courageous and compassionate.
Be true to yourself. Be kind to others. It’s as simple (and as challenging) as that.
