What is Truly Important? Capricorn Season and Venus Retrograde

There may be some clarity, or a sense of things starting to coalesce. But given that The Toxic Hustle is one Dark Side of Capricorn, I would avoid the temptation to New-Years-Pushing-Forwards and Tackling-Those-Goals because that’s all Old World Ways we are learning to shake off. The question now is: how do we do our work in ways that sustain and nourish us. How do we do our work like the goat climbs the mountain, one careful step at a time.

Every year, Taurus season in the Northern Hemisphere brings with it the thick blooms of spring, and the sprouts of seeds planted during the initiating season of Aries. We witness--if we are so fortunate--the wealth of nature, Earth’s riches, the blossoming that comes only after the dead of winter. And we are brought back to our senses with this beauty, brought into our bodies, and into the present. We may remember the magic of stillness and silence…. But, of course, it’s not so simple.

Connected: New Moon in Aquarius

To allying our worldview with our values, and our resources with our beliefs. Libra also wants justice and values dialogue and the law and civil disobedience as means to achieve it.

And we might even use those very resources to reflexively analyze the traditions they derive from--that reflexive process is actually definitive of the tradition. We are not floating, without ground, in some new-age soup. There are roots, thick and deep, that we just need follow down a little beneath the surface to find life-giving wisdom and spiritual nourishment.
